About the opportunity

A well-established accounting and advisory firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join the team on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with experience in public practice who is looking to further develop their career in tax, business services, and client advisory. The firm services a broad portfolio of business clients and offers a supportive team environment with strong long-term career potential.

Job responsibilities

• Preparing BAS, financial statements, and tax returns for a diverse client base
• Preparing and reviewing company and trust tax returns
• Liaising with the ATO and other relevant stakeholders as required
• Conducting research on taxation matters and advisory assignments
• Assisting with client queries and contributing practical solutions
• Managing workflow and ensuring deadlines are met
• Staying up to date with relevant tax legislation and compliance requirements
• Working collaboratively within the team and supporting junior staff where required
• Providing mentoring and guidance to junior team members

Job Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience in Australian public practice
• Solid experience in tax and business services
• Progress towards, or completion of, CA or CPA qualifications
• Mandarin speaking will be highly regarded
