Our client is a leading property developer in Sydney, known for its diverse portfolio of high-end residences, boutique developments, and commercial assets.


Your New Role

The Finance Manager leads budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting across construction and delivery entities, ensuring compliant and timely outcomes. The role drives financial systems and process improvements, provides commercial insight to projects, and partners with stakeholders to support operational performance.


Job Responsibilities

  • Lead quarterly forecasts and annual budgets; partner with budget owners on overhead allocation and cost control
  • Own construction financial reporting, including overhead frameworks, WIP, progress claims, intercompany and month-end / year-end close
  • Manage statutory and compliance requirements (Home Warranty Insurance, Trust Retention Account reporting to Fair Trading)
  • Drive system processes and reporting across Cheops and NetSuite; develop and improve P&L and balance sheet templates
  • Oversee project finance operations including timesheets, project codes, invoicing, utilisation and cost recovery
  • Manage and develop the Senior Accountant; collaborate closely with project, HR and wider finance teams
  • Provide ad-hoc construction finance analysis and support, ensuring alignment with Group HSE policies


Job Requirements

  • CPA qualified with strong accounting fundamentals
  • Commercially minded, able to translate financial data into operational outcomes
  • Advanced Excel and solid financial systems experience (NetSuite / Cheops / PEXA desirable)
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder and negotiation skills
  • Proactive self-starter, able to work autonomously and collaboratively
