About the Company

Our client is a well-established financial services firm specialising in foreign exchange solutions and cross-border payment services. The company provides currency exchange, international transfers, and treasury solutions to corporate and individual clients across Australia and Asia.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Fund Manager (Foreign Exchange) to join their team and oversee foreign exchange trading strategies and capital management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the company’s FX trading portfolio and capital allocation.
• Develop and implement foreign exchange trading strategies across major currency pairs (e.g. AUD, USD, CNY).
• Monitor global macroeconomic trends, interest rate movements, and currency markets to identify trading opportunities.
• Manage currency exposure arising from client transactions and implement hedging strategies to mitigate FX risk.
• Optimise liquidity and capital efficiency across trading activities.
• Work closely with internal teams to support large currency conversion transactions and cross-border payments.
• Establish risk management frameworks including position limits, stop-loss controls, and exposure monitoring.
• Prepare regular market insights, trading reports, and portfolio performance updates for senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in FX trading, treasury management, asset management, or fund management.
• Strong understanding of global currency markets and macroeconomic drivers.
• Experience managing trading portfolios and implementing hedging strategies.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Experience with trading platforms and financial modelling tools.
• Excellent risk management and decision-making capability.
• Mandarin language skills are highly regarded but not essential.
