Our client is a commercial-focused property development business, involved in the development and management of commercial assets.
Your New Role
You will support the sourcing, screening and evaluation of development opportunities across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Acting as the first gatekeeper of new investments, you will manage deal flow, maintain agent relationships, perform initial feasibility checks, and assist with due diligence.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will help identify and assess land acquisition opportunities aligned with the companys investment strategy, ensuring only commercially viable projects progress forward.
Job Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for commercial and residential agents (e.g. Colliers, Knight Frank, Ray White Special Projects).
- Proactively engage with agents to secure priority access to IMs, contracts and planning reports aligned with acquisition criteria.
- Maintain and update the internal deal pipeline, tracking pricing, progress and agent feedback.
- Coordinate site inspections and accompany senior management during property walkthroughs.
- Conduct high-level sanity checks on financial and development assumptions provided by agents.
- Input IM data into internal feasibility models (Excel-based).
- Utilise CoreLogic (RP Data), Pricefinder or similar platforms to verify assumptions such as GFA, yield and GRV.
- Perform desktop research across Brisbane and Gold Coast markets to identify comparable transactions.
- Prepare concise one-page internal summary reports outlining project strengths, risks and key metrics.
- Support due diligence by organising technical reports (geotech, survey, planning advice) within the company data room.
- Assist the acquisitions team with internal approval documentation.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Property Economics, Real Estate, Finance, Urban Planning or a related discipline.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and basic cashflow structures.
- Experience with CoreLogic (RP Data), Pricefinder, EstateMaster or Argus is highly regarded.
- Understanding of Brisbane City Plan and Gold Coast City Plan zoning frameworks and height controls preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
- Confident communicator with the ability to manage external agent relationships.
- Commercially aware and able to prioritise opportunities efficiently.
- Fluent Mandarin is required, along with strong English communication skills.
